Music Under the Stars

Ballet Theatre of Toledo returned to dance in the 2006 season of “Music Under the Stars,” accompanied by the Toledo Concert Band, at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheater.

“Music Under the Stars” is a very special event for Ballet Theatre of Toledo. Together for only two months in August of 2005, a new ballet company in the area with no home or studio of its own, this is where the company dancers performed their inaugural piece. They danced with such heart and soul that they lifted not only themselves but the spirit of everyone in the audience that night – they were awesome. It was an honor to return the following year for another show.

Masterworks Chorale

Ballet Theatre of Toledo’s final program, for 2006-2007, was to dance for Masterworks Chorale in celebration of their 35th Anniversary Season.

Nigel Burgoine, Artistic Director of the Ballet Theatre of Toledo, choreographed dances for Brahms, Britten and Ballet for Masterworks Chorale’s 35th Anniversary Season at the Maumee Performing Arts Center on May 12th. 2007. From the initial choreography in the vast expanse of BTT’s Studio A, to the dress rehearsal and then the performance, Ballet Theatre of Toledo complimented the voices of Masterworks Chorale with precision, poise and performance. Both lovely and lyrical, it was a glorious ending to the 2006-2007 season.
